Travelling in New York

Moving around New York.

An uncharacteristically empty avenue.

One of my favorite open secrets in New York, the view from Roosevelt Island is, in my opinion, one of the best in the city. And the aerial tram ride over is still fun, after all these years.

Admittedly, New York can, however, be less than helpful for the tourist.

Wishing your dad a speedy recovery -- but also glad you came for a little reconnaissance with the city. After 8 years here, I'm embarrassed to say that going to the cafe in Neue Gallery is still on my "to do" list. (I better hurry as I'm graduating!)

Cindy, yeah, shamefully, I got lost once or twice in the tunnels trying to transfer from one line to another. It was hot, horrid and boy did I become cranky!

Thanks Linda, I'm so sorry I missed seeing friends while I was in the city, but Dad's doing much much better. You should definitely check out the Neue Gallerie -- the collection is quite nice, AND it's nicely air-conditioned. Phew.
